People Always Leave

Letting Go

Meera always wandered is it her bad luck or it is she who is the bad one and the reason behind everything?First it was her Mother and now Father!

Its been 16 years now that her mother passed away. And everyday she thought if she could just reverse time,if only her mother would have left 5 mins earlier to pick her up,maybe then she would be alive now!

She dealt with it every now and then,She was alone and lonely. After her Mother She thought she could rely on her father, but then he too left her alone. She wasn't complaining, she knew her father had never been happy since her mother passed away and she wasn't going to stop him.Everyone has the right to live their life,so does he even when that meant her to be left alone.

She herself crushed her heart that day when he had said that he found his true love, and that he wants to live with her.She had seen only happiness in his eyes, and how could she take that away from him.She wasn't selfish.She loved him and she knew the people we love,we never hurt them.

That night she had analysed what would happen if she would have acted selfish and not let him go.But somewhere deep down she understood it would have been wrong. Its easy to hurt someone but very difficult to make them smile.

All she has is her Father, and if he is happy, she is too.

He visited her from time to time.He still had her parental rights though,he didn't give up that on her.She knew he loved her too,but he was lonely. And she wasn't enough to fill it.

She had everything possible from him, except him.But that shouldn't matter because in the end she thought he is happy, and that's all that matters.

You Promised,So I waited

Ron was seated at the railway station. He had packed his luggage full of happiness and his dream was just a train journey away.

He gazed at the tickets in his hand and smiled to himself. Finally they were going to be together.

Time seemed to pass fast.He looked at his watch it was four on dot.He would be here anytime now.

There awaited a new beginning, just a matter of hour and they would board the train heading towards their destination.

He had full faith in him,he knew Bob always kept his promises. So when he said he would come, that meant he would.

A soft country music played, and people moving about waiting for their train.Everything seemed rhythmic and tuned up,maybe it was because he had never been this happier before. He turned looking around at people and thought it wasn't any bad.At intervals trains went up and down, there was sudden rush at one moment and at one time it was just hush- hush.

An Asian couple cuddling and kissing at one corner and the Station Master was seated at his office at the other corner.

He checked with the station clock,it was almost five. The train was too reach station at anytime now,but Bob hadn't reached yet.

He flipped his phone open and typed in a SMS.

The train entered the station and people started to gather up as close as possible.

When his cell phone suddenly came into life.He flipped it and pressed it to his ear.

"Where are you,Bob? The train is already here."

"I'm so sorry!"

"What is it,tell me!"

"We are not destined to be together.I cant leave my parents for you.I'm sorry.Bye!"

There was a faint chime sound which drowned in the midst of loud noise of engine
and the blare of the alarm.Suddenly time started to move slowly.

The train started moving and in matter of minutes it was out of the tunnel. All his dreams;hopes;wishes began to speed away in front of his eyes.

He looked at his clenched fist and tightened around the paper hard enough.

If Only

She had been pacing around the room from the last half an hour. She simply couldn't make up her mind,or maybe it was her shame that withheld her from dialing the number.

What would she say first?whether She should say 'Hello' or Just start babbling out the frustration and disconnect, she couldn't decide.

Her heart and mind was building up desperation, and she knew she had to talk to her, at least once.

Though she was doubtful about how to start up the conversation and she had been having second thought about whether she should drop the idea but she couldn't keep her mind still. She desperately needed peace of mind and that would only be after confrontation.

She took a deep breath and finally gathered up some enthusiasm and dialed.

"Hello" a sharp, but sober voice welcomed the call.

"Hii,Pooja",she replied. She could feel a reaction change on the other side to her voice.

"What do you want now?" this time there was more of despair and anger, way different and unwelcoming.

"I just want to say,I'm S...." but before she could finish the line dropped dead.

She held the phone to her ears for a moment and the beep seemed to grow louder and finally dropped the receiver on the couch.

She had never wanted anything to go wrong. Pooja and she had been best-friends since childhood, and she wouldn't do anything to hurt her on purpose. She regretted that something like this came up between them and brought the end of their long bonded friendship.

She wanted a chance to explain. Pooja who is a best-friend but more than that like a sister had left her.

She knew it was all her fault, and she agreed to all of Pooja's allegation.Falling in love with your best-friend's boyfriend of course isn't right.

But she couldn't help it.She wanted to explain about all of this to her.She wanted a chance to say sorry.

Its been a week,Pooja had left country breaking away all her ties with her.She missed her.Everything was unanswered and she had been growing frustration and going into depression from the guilty of it.

It felt as if someone has heaved a large rock on her chest and its chocking her.She needs to get it off as soon as possible or else she wouldn't see the end of it.

While she was drowned in thought,a sudden tap on her shoulder reverted her mind to present. She turned around, and it was her Mom standing there.

She instantly threw her arms around, hugging her, started sobbing.

"Mom,She wont listen to me.I dint mean to hurt her, intentionally. It just happened.I wanted to say 'Sorry'!"

"It's okay Sweety,in time she will forget all about it."

"But I miss her.She is gone and I know she will never come back!"

Give Me a Reason

He knew everything was over!

The thing bothered him wasn't that she was leaving, but the reason she had given. He simply couldn't fit it in after all these years of relationship.

How could he misjudge it.He felt the love was true. And now she has proved it all false.

Did she never love him?

Thoughts filled up his head as he sat at the corner of the room watching her pack.

Brian thought of stopping her, make her change her decision. But he knew it wasn't going to happen. She will leave and after the reason,he understood it would actually be meaningless to stop her.

He dint have the slightest idea that he would hear this from her. This morning everything had seemed perfect.

Yet she finally said,"Brian,I think this will not work."

"What! Why suddenly?"

"No its not suddenly,I have been thinking of this from quite a while, now."

"I thought....."

"See! I don't want to make it tough for any of us.I need to move out."

"But why? there must be some explanation!"

"Because I'm bored!"

"What, you are bored? of me? What is the alternative of your "Sudden" bored of me?"

"Brian, its over! I'm breaking up with you! is that enough, now?"

Why so Unfaithful?

Little Polly was scribbling on the piece of paper, writing down different names analyzing each one of them twice about which one would perfectly match.

She suddenly exclaimed "Maria,we name him,Buttons!"

Maria, the nanny had extended her had to help the little girl. She loved her and she knew she was very happy to find someone as a friend.

She had found him, under a maple tree, all scared and shaking. It had rained heavily and his soft skin was wet with it.She knew either he will end up dead or lost if she left him there. So she brought him home.

She hid him in Maria's room. She knew her parents forbids her of any pet but she couldn't leave him there. His innocent brown eyes seemed to ask for help.

Her parents usually were busy with their work and it was Maria, the only person who gave her the attention that she needed. But Maria wasn't always available. When she had the work at the house, she wasn't able to play with her.

She needed someone,a friend to play with her all the time. And it seemed to her the little one could be her friend.

She dreams about bathing him, feeding him, playing with him. She couldn't concentrate in class and often caught daydreaming by the teachers.

She desperately waited for the school to get over so that she could get home to him.

It was Parents-Teacher meeting day when her parents found out about her deteriorating grades and followed by a piled up complaint from the teacher.

She was scolded very bad and the parents even found out about him.She cried and begged and pleaded from them to keep him.But they wouldn't listen to her nor Maria.

Her fall in grades added more to their disapproval. They tied a collar belt and walked him out the door to take him to the animal-shelter.

She hugged Maria and saw him leave in front of her eyes. Her heart sank more when he dint even turn to look once.He dint whimper yelp nor howl.It seemed he wasn't attached to little Polly at all.

Maria, looked down at her sad face. She knew Polly really cared about him,and loved him dearly.

Polly softly murmured,"Bad Puppyyyy....."

Rain Man

Two pointed knives were held below her chin so that her one wrong move would kill her.

One of the goons said,"Such a beauty is getting wasted.I wish I could taste her just once." and he bent down to caress her face.

She wanted to turn away but the tip of the knives poked her skin.

Suddenly like a shadow from the dark,a Stranger appeared behind them.

It had been raining heavily all evening. She was waiting to get a taxi when the goons attacked her.

He pushed them away and snatched the knife from one of them and shouted out loud,"Let her go!"

She stood glued as she watched the goons being beaten down by this Man.It was dark and she couldn't make out the exact appearance of this man.

She was shaken and horrified, she wanted to run away but her feet somehow seemed heavy enough to move.

The goons were lying down in the road unconscious and even in the dark she noticed that blood was oozing out from the side of this stranger's forehead and arms.

He had saved her life. She wanted to thank this man,who came out of nowhere and helped her.But before she could say anything,he had turned away and in matter of seconds he vanished into the dark, blending into the rainy night.

She was lucky enough, this time to get a cab, instantly and was headed home. She reached home, but the rain hadn't stopped. Before she stepped in a thought crossed her mind.

It was such an eventful night,a Stranger had saved her life in return for nothing. She could never be able to repay him back with anything, moreover nothing would be equal enough. She wanted to just say 'Thank You',but he was gone even before she blinked. She knew,he was a stranger;her savior that night, his role was just till that, and when it was over,he left.

"Maya, come in now and sit by the fire place, dear." an elderly woman's voice came from the house.

She glanced up and walked inside, closing the door behind.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Say "Goodbye! to Grandma..."

She stood there at the door, watching him go.How desperately she wanted them to stay, yet she couldn't say anything at all.

It had all been so sudden, and the news just came out of the blue, sweeping her off her feet. She was helpless and she very well knew, she couldn't do anything to make it change.

His innocent small eyes turned to get one last glance of her.He admired her simple, sober attire, standing still at the door, wearing a white silk kanjivaram sari with a faded golden border. She looked divine.
She waved her hand at him,one last time and watched him getting seated and in seconds the engine roared and the car was moving away.

He skeptically asked his mother,"Why cant she go with us?"

But his soft voice was overpowered by the loud sound of the engine. He had been curiously asking the same question from the night before, but haven't been able to get just the right answer to satisfy his tender heart.

He turned to look at her again as though no of it was enough, and she still was standing there waving consistently and wiping her tears with the ends of her sari.

The car caught speed and quickly moved out the front gate.

She turned back and walked through the hallway to the drawing room.Silence filled up the room,it felt empty without him,his laughter, his giggles and everything else about him.
She walked up the stairs to his room, and saw at one corner there hung his school shirt. She picked it up and pressed it against her face,a faint smell of him flooded her,his pencil box laid on the side drawer, she picked it up and ran her fingers across, and uncontrolled emotions flowed in form of tears and stained her cheeks.

The wall seemed to press in,she needed some fresh air.She moved out of the room and walked up to the balcony, and sat on her arm chair.

Memories of him filled her head. She remembered every moment spent with him, each of them etched in her mind. How she had to lure him to finish his glass of milk,or the stories she narrated every night. How he used to lay his small head on her lap and play with her.She missed all of it.

She very well knew his tricks too.He woke up early and sat by her side during her morning prayer with the hope of getting those laddos (Indian sweet delicacy),and he thought she dint know! A faint smile was to appear on her face but it was withheld by the change in her thought.

She knew he is gone. She couldn't watch him grow in front of her eyes. She very well knew talking over the phone isn't going to be same as staying with him.How will she live now? She longed if they would stay. But she knew it was once in a lifetime opportunity for her son.

Mothers never come in between the happiness of her children. So was she.She let them go,no matter how broken and lonely she felt.

She missed the little one the most, after all he was like a little friend to her.He was bought to the house in her arms, when his small fingers had cuddled around hers and his eyes blinked melting a grandmother's heart. Her mind lost in deep thoughts and memories.

While the birds flew back home and an orangish glow filled in the place, gradually turning darker and finally vanishing away into the darkness completely.Somewhere the chirping of the sparrows slowly fainted into the night.

Imprint

He was busy making breakfast when he heard her scream.

"Leonard!" her voice cracking and hands trembling, clutching onto the duvets tighter as tears rolled down her cheeks.Grasping for air as beads of sweat covered her forehead and one trickled down her spine.

He pulled the cover off and cautiously walked around the bed and wrapping his sculpted arms around her,he spoke softly,"Baby, its okay, I'm right here, just a dream."

But somewhere inside he knew it wasn't the same for Lennie. It wasn't 'just a dream' for her.She had been having the same dream from childhood.

At many other mornings in the past, she had woken up in the same manner, scared and trembling, screaming out loud.He tried every possible way to get it all out of her head but it seems its etched in her memory so deeply that she can't let it go.

Lennie and Ben has been married for three years now.Ben had pictured her as his wife from the time he had known her.He was eleven when he had first moved in with his parents to the town where Lennie lived in.

She was nine, then. He meet her at his new school. They both came back home together after school as there wasn't much distance between their houses, his was a block away.

Everyday on the way back home they used to chat around and when they grew up to be good friends, nobody had that record.

Ben was too fond of her and secretly loved her too,so he tried every possible way to always keep her  happy. She was quiet, keeping to herself type of a girl, who never played with the neighborhood kids. And it seemed Ben was her only friend even at school or at home.

It was one Summer, when Ben's parents had to be away for a while, and Lennie's mother had happily agreed to look after him that he had stayed with Lennie and her parents.

One morning,he heard her scream and saw her mother rush into the room and calm her. That was the first time he had seen her wake up screaming her lungs out.The whole day he piled up questions in his head but just couldn't make himself go up to her to ask.

It was that very night when he woke up to get a glass of water that he overheard Lennie's mother and father's conversation. He got all the answers to his questions. And from then on he always over-protected her from any difficulties.

Though he succeeded to get all her problems solved but when it came to this he just felt helpless. He loves her so much that it always cuts through his heart to see her in pain.

Lennie was five when her brother Leonard accidently died. They were dizygotic twins. She was a child and that memory left her scarred. It keeps coming back to haunt her in her dreams.

It was one October afternoon, when Lennie's mother,Martha and her father were away for work when this accident happened.

Lennie and Leonard had been playing in the courtyard, and it was Lennie who insisted on playing hide and seek. After playing a round,it was Lennie's turn to be the "it".

She searched everywhere in the house as well as the backyard, but Leonard wasn't there. When she got tired she screamed out 'Ollie Ollie oxen free' many a times but he was no where to be seen.

She waited and waited sitting right by the door. She was angry at Leonard for playing the hiding prank with her.She decided to complain strongly about it so she waited right outside for them to come back.

Its was late evening, when Martha returned and till now Leonard hadn't come out of hiding. Lennie angrily babbled to Martha complaining and telling her about how much she hated Leonard's prank and that she would never play with him again.

Matha laughed at her every complaint and assured little Lennie that she would surely scold Leonard. She reached for the door knob, jostled it open and entered,"Leo,come out now,Mommy's home!"

She changed her work clothes and poured herself a glass of wine. But Leonard was no where to be seen. She walked up to the room but he wasn't there.

She screamed "Leo,come'on now, enough!",but there was no answer. She was tensed and frantically searched every room.Leonard was not there.

She asked Lennie,"Sweetheart, tell me;from how long have you not seen Leo?"

Lennie answered,"Mommy,we were playing hide and seek and.."

"Yes then what darling?"

"And I looked for Leo,but he dint come out"

Martha was really worried now,it was more than six to seven hours that he has been hiding somewhere. She flipped opened the cell phone to dial, when something caught her eye,she saw the out-house through the window.

She picked up a torch and ran towards the house, creaking open the door. Lennie quickly followed her pace, right behind her.

Lennie and Leonard were forbidden to go to the out-house.It was their father's strict rules, and that is why she dint go searching for him there.

It was dark,Martha switched on the dim light hanging to the ceiling and pushing the torch button throwing in more light for clarity.

It was more of a warehouse-cum-garage-cum-storehouse.The place was dusty, and filled with a broken bicycle, car parts, some labelled boxes, broken items and an old unusable refrigerator.

She flashed the light to every possible corner and to her horror, she saw Leo inside the fridge. He dint move, she pushed her way inside and quickly opened the door a lifting him up she carried him outside.

She ran towards the car and opening the passenger door she laid him on the seat. Lennie followed her mother and sat at the back. She dint have the slightest idea of what was going on,but she dared not ask and say anything.

Matha quickly drove to the hospital, and rushed inside carrying unconscious Leo in her arms.Nurses and doctors rushed to help her get him into a stretcher and took him inside, leaving Martha and Lennie standing outside. She quickly dialed the numbers with trembling fingers.

There was pin drop silence except for the sound of equipment alarms or the respiratory monitors beep at intervals, where they were seated.

Lennie was terrified and she was more scared because she saw her Mom praying and tears rolling down,as she knew she was scared too.

After a while the doctors with the nurses pulled out a stretcher but this time an impeccable white cloth covering something underneath it. Lennie could not see what was inside it,when suddenly a hand poked out, falling lifelessly out at the side and a loud scream of grief echoed in the hallway.

And from then on Lennie was a different person. She couldn't get the sight of that lifeless hand out of her mind.Every night, she would wake up screaming and crying.

The memory left a deep scar on her mind and nothing seems to be just enough to fill the void.

She....

Her grace and charming heart
A blink of her hits like a dart
Her smile is bright like sunshine
Someone so beautiful and divine
She believes in fairy-tale and prince
Also knows the facts and has knowledge in science
She is on Earth, she stood on Moon
She works on logic,as well as feeds a child every noon
Like a ray of hope in your dark days
She has the strongest will and unimaginable faith, everyone says
She hides her sorrow to bring you joy
Don't treat her like a trash or toy
She bears the pain
Her fruit the world gain

Yet some crush her and tear up her soul
Teach them a lesson, burn them with fire on coal
Make her feel safe, remove all her fear
Love and care because she is someone so dear

Give her an open sky to spread her wing
Let her dance,let her sing
Without her there would be no life
She is your Mother, your Daughter, your Wife!

Being a women is a challenge.Respect them. This is from my part,a way to show my resentment.Say 'NO' to Women Violence and abuse.Raise your voice so that we can make a better and safer world for ourselves, the power is in our hands.

Now that You are Gone '*'_'*'

Now that you are gone
My eyes cry for none
The pieces of my heart scarred
The memories in my mind blurred
Dark sky and empty branches
I extend my hand but it never reaches
Wind blows away the little twig
Like a flightless bird without wing
The storm has hit the sea
'Twas sad as sad could be
The ships are off the water because the sailor doesn't dare
No one to rescue and none even care
The light still blinks at the lighthouse
And everyone is shaken and arouse
A wet road heaving and shining
A mad,luring sea wind blowing
A new morning,a new beginning
Starting afresh to hold up for living
Falling and standing is part of the race
I know the love will resurface
After every dusk there is a dawn
Now that you are gone!

If Marriages were made in Heaven,it would start with True Love!

Poets and authors have tried to define love for over centuries now.And we all know what 'Love' is.We fall,we breakup,we laugh,we cry,we get,we give and sometimes even end up getting hurt,we misjudge and make mistakes in love. Its all part of the big game.At one point we complain and then the next very moment we forget.Lets just say we know what love is,all of us have experienced it at some point and sometimes felt happy or sad about knowing it!

But how many have known 'True Love'?

Nowadays we all know love comes with T&C,or conditions applied and blah! blah! strings attached to it.But is it all the same for everyone?

I will give the answer,my way (you need not think alike). No! there are some who still believe in True Love, and is still experiencing it.The type of Love, where it does not fade away, and its unconditional.

Have you ever seen a person having every good thing possible? Can anyone have everything?

No! one cannot own or have everything. So it is in-case of love.We all have love, but its those some who have true love and it is the rarest who have the 'marriages made in heaven' type of marriage where one is destined to be together.

Lets talk about what is 'Marriage made in heaven'.The first thing that comes to mind maybe happy marriage, successful, totally in love and happily ever after ending.Yes! you guessed it,its all of it.But that's not the end, there is more to it.

Now tell me how many of you think, this is only possible in fairy tale stories to have all these lets say ingredients of marriage?

I will tell you,the trend of live-in-relationships and the increasing rate in divorces and extra marital affairs, make us believe so that all good things belong to fairy tale world.I'm not saying I think any different, and its obvious but as I always believe until you turn to the next page you wont know what it has in store for you,it might leave you with the same thought, but there are chances that it might surprise you too, turning the plot all together.

You are the beautiful princess, waiting for your prince, and then you get to marry the prince and live happily ever after. You as well might laugh picturing yourself that way.But these happen, even in the real world.

There are prince and princess in the world, with beautiful heart disguised in form of general, usual people. But not all are prince and princess, and only the prince gets a princess.

Similarly a good person has good things in life, has true love and a marriage that is beautiful as earth and heaven.

Let me tell you about the two people,I have grown up adoring.Yes! they are my parents.

They are married for twenty-five years now,and in those days rarely women were allowed to interact with the men.I'm not saying that nobody did at all,yes some did,but in general there were more arranged marriages than love.

So was their marriage too,it was arranged by my maternal grandparents and my father's cousin, because by then my paternal grandparents were dead. So,not literally though my father had to arrange everything, the budget, venue, decorators, etc. But before everything was fully fixed of what is to be given to the bride,my father asked for dowry. And guess what was it?

He wanted my grandparents to come along with their daughter and live with her.My mother says,it was that very moment, when she had fallen in love with him.

On the marriage day,my grandparents were sent beforehand just before the arrival of the bride. My grandmother welcomed the bride(her daughter) as her daughter-in-law.

My mum says,is this any less than a fairy tale for her!Does fairy tale have to mean anything otherwise?

Since then her parents lived with her and in the 22 years of my life,I have pretty enjoyed their love as their beloved grand daughter. And this year they completed their 25 years of joyous journey, facing ups and down, falling and getting up,loving and caring but together and there is yet more to come.

This happened in the past,a generation back. Now let me tell you about another two people of this generation which will prove, all that I have spoken about till now.

These two people are my friends, the guy here was my classmate and the girl here was a junior but my dorm-mate.

Its a 13 year old love story of Priyanka and Debopam aka Halder. It all began back during school days. And as we all know every love story faces hurdles and the most important is how many pass them. They are the ones who have passed with flying colors! And you might be wondering why did I mention 'flying colors',I did because they are married now, finally!

They have tied the nuptial knot in a traditional Bengali style marriage entailing a series of elaborate rituals, which were equally enjoyable and significant.I,personally being a Bengali myself had carefully observed every rituals finding it a clear blend of tradition, custom and religious beliefs.

The entire family and relatives and friends had gathered in the occasion so that everything culminated into a huge celebration-celebration of a new beginning.

Like our very own grand Durga puja, even a Bengali marriage is a grandeur affair exhibiting affluence, class, culture and elegance and a person is left awestruck and spellbound!

She looked spectacular in the traditional red benarasi sari, adorned in fine jewels, with the mukut and gaach kouto and kaajal lata.It is synonymous to Bengali wedding, yet modern day brides often tend to shift from traditional mixing contemporary styles. But I was so happy to see that Priyanka being a modern day girl herself, yet kept the essence of Bengali marriage and rituals intact.

And Halder, the bridegroom looked handsome in a silk dhoti and kurta with the topor.

Then there were all these pretty decorated tatta. There were so many other things that together created a magic that any magician would fail to recreate.

And not to forget the friends enjoyed a lot which included me too.Its just the beginning after grueling 13 years full of hurdles, they both have supported each other and had faith in their love which helped them come this long, not all can stick by this long, and believe me when I say this because I have seen many breakups, some cant even last a year,so 13 years is quite some years!

I wish godspeed,a long journey ahead of them..Because a marriage isn't easy. It is still the most-coveted way to start a new chapter of life,no matter how modern Indian turn into we still continue to believe that every true love leads to a marriage. If true love happened a generation back it also does happen now.It is about eras where yesterday marks the dawn of tomorrow.

Art & Photography.

Art and Painting has been there in human lives from the past thousands of years.
Jean-Jacques Rousseau once said,"The world of reality has its limits;the world of imagination is boundless."
It is art which gives limitless power to one's thoughts.

Everyone can draw, but how many do you think explain their thoughts through it?Its not that you need to have proper educational knowledge to know how to draw!I don't have any art certificate,as a matter of fact I never went to any drawing school.Yet I draw, and you can see that for yourself.

Everything has beauty in them, but its that some who see it.And those who see it speak through it without words.Beauty is something which is untamed,it can only be watched and desired. And what can be more beautiful than bringing the beauty to life?

"The painting has a life of its own. I try to let it come through."-Jackson Pollock 1912-1956

Artist believe that everything has life.Human, animals, nature, air, water and even a still object always has something to say,and it is they who put the words in.

Imagination, its something so beautiful that has been gifted to humans. We use our imagination to invent. When an apple fell from a tree it was Sir Issac Newton who used his imagination and discovered the 'Law of Gravity', isn't it?

Edward Hopper said,"No amount of skillful invention can replace the essential element of imagination."

Imagination does not have boundaries, you could be anywhere in the world, maybe siting near a television,or chatting with friends;walking down a lane or even when you are lying down in your bed.And it is the Artists who find something to think about in every place they be at.
Paul Strand said,"The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away.It is always on his doorstep."

The famous Pablo Picasso said,"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."

For some its a form of meditation, calming your soul with a beautiful thought.

There is this another thing that gives equal pleasure and happiness, which is also a form of art,i.e, Photography.

Photography and painting are similar in nature, they can both capture moments in time that are accurate. In the earliest days of photography, practitioners took their inspiration from paintings. And both use the artists imagination in order to capture what they are thinking.

"Be daring, be different, be impractical,be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safer,the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary." –Cecil Beaton.

Photography makes you see the world rather than just look at it.You need not own expensive camera to click a good photo,it isn't the camera that see the beauty, its your eyes that do and camera just captures what you have seen.

Similar words from Arnold Newman says,"A lot of photographers think that if they buy a better camera they’ll be able to take better photographs. A better camera won’t do a thing for you if you don’t have anything in your head or in your heart."

I will give proof for that. The photographs that you see here has been clicked by a friend, who has no professional knowledge in photography, and it is his mere hobby that he clicks. And to top it all,he has used Samsung Galaxy Ace phone,5 megapixel camera to take these photo.

You have also seen the photographs clicked by me in the past posts, they were done by Sony Cyber shot,14.1 megapixel camera. There you can see,to get a good shot SLR camera isn't required but a good imagination to see the invisible is!

The Mount Everest Paintings by Von Gerard, who painted the mountain on an expedition with a science crew so because photography wasn't invented.Did they use camera to capture the moment?

"A good photograph is one that communicates a fact, touches the heart and leaves the viewer a changed person for having seen it.It is,in a word, effective."–Irving Penn.

Painting alludes to its content, whereas the photograph summons it,from wherever and whenever.
"When you photograph people in color you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in B&W,you photograph their souls!" —Ted Grant.

Different people imbibe beauty differently, some through painting and sketches and some through photograph.Rene Magritte said,"Everything that is visible hides something that is invisible."
And it is the artist and the photographer who see it and bring them to life, giving meaning to its existence.

It is easy to see a photo or a sketch, but the thought it has in it is difficult to understand.
Edgar Degas once said,"Daylight is too easy. What I want is difficult – the atmosphere of lamps and moonlight."

Everyone knows how to click but not everyone understand the meaning of,what to click and when to click.
“There is a vast difference between taking a picture and making a photograph.” – Robert Heinecken.

Nowadays artists have created ways to simulate both photograph and painting together.Usually now the incorporation of photography in artistic paintings and visa versa is done. And it is done by digital touch up of photographs and paintings.
"Photograph: a picture painted by the sun without instruction in art."- Ambrose Bierce.

Art and Photography has always been linked throughout history and it continues to be used together.

“For me,the camera is a sketch book,an instrument of intuition and spontaneity.”-Henri Cartier-Bresson.
