I've seen true love, where love is for eternal as well as broken relationships. But if you ask me what do I believe in,I would say both.If there is good then there is bad as well.
Some are always in love till the end and those who breakup dsnt mean that there wasn't love ever, according to me they were in love, but its just that day by day it faded away and nothing helped to recolor it.
Let me share a short story.
She was sitting on her bed, knitting socks for her granddaughter and outside, the birds flying back home, and the orange light slowly turning dark peeking through the curtains.
Drowned in her own deep thoughts, old memories like old video playing on her mind. She looked around the room and her thoughts drifted back to that day when she first stepped into this house,70 years ago.
Everything was new and different and she was scared. For a newly wedded bride, its an usual feeling. And that very night how she had got her life. She remembered every bit of it.
He was wearing a silk dhoti, and as he entered the nuptial chamber, how dramatically the lights seemed brighter to her.She was sitting on this same bed wearing the beautiful red banarasi saree. Her heart was racing fast and all she had to do was sit quietly. He held her hand and comforting her,he said "If we cannot be good friends,we will never grow up to be good life partners."
That very instance she had fallen in love..True Love!
She saw her fears go away and their relationship grow strong day by day.
Her thoughts reverted back to present moment, and she looked into the mirror facing her, where she could see the reflection of the open window behind her,the tree outside stood tall, but the wind slowly swayed its leaves and the clothes that were hung on the opposite terrace for drying.
Looking at the mirror, her thoughts went back down that memory when her daughter used to look into the mirror wearing all her jewels. She was the lifeline for her as well as for him.
When he first held her, that intoxicating, delightful baby smell had filled the room and her shining eyes just brought smile to his face. She had never seen him so happy before.Their life seemed complete with her.
And then she remembered how beautiful she had looked on her wedding day!He had cried the most, after all she was daddy's sweetheart.
Happiness had doubled that day when she gave them a little girl, and they leveled up and became grandparents. She saw the same smile on her face too,so sweet,so innocent. And tears of joy had rolled down his cheeks. She knew he was so happy and proud.
A soft nudge on her shoulder and her thoughts drifted back to present. She looked up to see and there he was, standing with a cup in his hand. She looked at him for a fraction of second and thought, how handsome he still was.Smilingly he handed her the cup and sat right beside her.
Setting the cup aside she looked at him and he understood.
