From Paris With Love!

Chapter Five

"I got an idea!" Ruby squawked tugging at Camilla's shoulder.

"Oh God! Ruby its 4 in the morning..cant it wait?" Camilla replied irritated and sleepy.

"No, of course it cant!" Ruby said adamantly.

Camilla had to give in and sitting up on her bed in her footie pajamas,rubbing her eyes,and followed by Raquel doing the same.

"It better be good!"Camilla warned.

"Good! its so underrated,its actually Incredible!" She chirped.

"Okay spit it out now" Raquel spoke softly.

"We were planning to go on a vacation,right? How about if we all go to my place,Australia?" Ruby questioned,staring straight at both of them eagerly for the answer.

Camilla and Raquel exchanged looks.

"Oh c'mon now! Its gonna be fun" Ruby assured "and moreover if you guys are thinking about accommodation lemme tell you,my step dad is a really nice man,he would do all the arrangements for us,we would just have to travel and enjoy! how bad is it?"

"Okay..." they both replied in unison.

"Perfect!" Ruby exclaimed.

The next day they purchased three tickets to Melbourne and soon after traveled.

Mr and Mrs.Walters,Ruby's parents welcomed them with open arms.They were a couple so in Love,and Mrs.Walters,a caring,loving,soft spoken person which was just opposite to what Ruby was with her kinky,naughty,loud and mischievous nature.

But Ruby's being so good at heart part was undoubtedly from them.Though Mr. Walters was Ruby's step father,but he dint seem to be one.He just loved her like his own blood.Camilla and Raquel were moved to see the bonding between them.

The next couple of days were spent,visiting different places,walking over Griffiths Island and the Port Fairy,a coastal town and the lighthouse there was a spectacular scene,then lighting a bonfire and spending silent moment under the night sky bought back the memories of Hampton.Raquel felt nostalgic and happy that she took the trip,it was real pleasure meeting the amazing family and staying with them.

It was a bag full of memories that the three would cherish for lifetime.And the best thing was knowing these amazingly beautiful people and that love existed so strongly was just indescribable!

Back in Paris,after the incredible vacation,life of the three bestie seemed to go on normal.Except for dancing in the street,when it had suddenly down poured heavily one afternoon.And as a result,had to skip office hours after the lunch time.Other than that everyday was usual.

Long after,one night Ruby and Camilla watched through the window a sweet,handsome looking guy drop off Raquel home.

"So who was that?" Ruby mischievously asked "Boyfriend?"

"Oh! That's Matt and no,we both are just friends.We were in the same internship program and now he works at the same office.And he just came here to drop me off,that's it!" Raquel replied folding her clothes and arranging her stuff.

"So you are telling me,there's nothing between the two of you!" Ruby winked at Camilla.

"Yes! Nothing." Raquel clarified.

"So I can take him,right?" Ruby screamed with joy but was suddenly cut off by Camilla saying "What about Ben then?"

"What about him?" Ruby snarled and tossed a cushion towards her.

"Okay why don't we invite him to join us tomorrow?" Camilla suggested.

"See there you go girl...you simply know what I want.Its gonna be a fun night,totally!" she assured and winked again.

"Whats tomorrow?" Raquel questioned

"Its our boozy's birthday!" Camilla excitedly replied and the night passed discussing as to who will wear what for the night.

It was hell of a celebration and Matt had joined them too ,dancing,laughing,chatting and drinking.After they had finished,all of them headed out,but Raquel and Matt were asked to spend some time and the two girls then left off.

At first Raquel had disagreed but when the three other had insisted,she had to give in.She had thought 'just a walk' and finally had agreed.

They walked down a street and into a nearby park.It was quiet and empty except for the sound of soft humming of the birds.They sat on a wooden bench and Matt spoke,"Your friend Ruby,hell of a girl! but she is fun to hang out with."

"Yes! she is an imp in disguise" She laughed.

"Really had great time.You are lucky to have such great friends!" he remarked.

"Yes indeed,staying away from home,they are my family in here!" she replied softly.

The night was calm in its own tranquility and the water in the lake seem to glisten in the moonlight and the velvety purple flower petals scattered around made the night even more beautiful.Just like the ones every poet craves to write about.

Matt looked at her and softly mumbled,"You look beautiful" and he softly clasped her hand and got little closer.

Raquel sat in silence and felt the touch of his warm hand on hers.He inched closer to her when she suddenly let go off his hand,"I can't do this!" and saying this she ran away towards the exit.

He followed her and without another word,they got into a taxi and headed to her apartment.None of them spoke until the taxi had come to a halt.They both got off and she hastily headed for the doorknob to avoid any further conversation,when he suddenly spoke,"I'm sorry!" he apologized.

Raquel turned to look at him,because somewhere deep down she too felt she had to apologize for how she had behaved back at the park.It all had happened so suddenly and she hadn't had time to think about it,but behaving that way wasn't the right thing to do,she knew.

But before she could say anything,he said,"Raquel! you are a very nice person.Though I haven't known you long enough,but I did see the person you are.And I really liked that person,and maybe what happened at the park was because of how I had started to feel about you." he sighed "I do know.....now,that you don't feel the same,but that's okay...I just hope you get what you are looking for!"

Then he kissed her and walked away.

She took one last glance at him go and she whispered to herself "Goodbye my friend!" and stepped in.
