When Rain Pours Down!

The sky darkens into a mass of ash and bluish grey,
As showers pour from the clouds high,
The row'd palm trees, heave and sway,
Water in the pond ripple away,
Frogs are out croaking joyfully,
Little drops glide down the lotus leaf,
Birds sit on the branches still,
Lie on the landscape green,
With shadows brown between,
Wet road runs through the field,
And up and down people go,
Dried clothes hang on the clothesline,
Red chilies moist in the front-yard,
Meadows spring back to life,
And silver white the river gleams,
Far away whistle of the train fades,
Drowning at the calls of the dove,
Quenching the thirst on a bough high,
Smell of mud filling the room,
Crickets critter all day long,
Music to slumbering ears,
And banish the thoughts of day,
The yellow bird sings in their tree,
Making my heart dance with glee,
Little breeze dusk and shriven,
A ray of light spread like golden bars,
Flowers sprouting from the rocks,
I can feel the stubbornness of nature,
Enjoying the life around me,
Fragrance of fresh mango flowers,
New saplings moist and green,
People back to usual work,
Drying the pickle in backyard,
Life starts on full flow,
Phasing a healing scene,
Gurgling water flow from the ditch,
The buffaloes basking in the field,
A refreshing look in every eye,
Mystic Minstrel sing out loud,
The trees stand quiet and still,
Kids play with delight,
Wishing for the seasonal rain,
To stop by again!
