Hiding behind her cloak she has come down to see him,
Under the starry sky he stood and waited,
The king's men are keeping watch and the guards restricting her path,
Yet she came overcoming all her fears to get a glimpse of him,
She ran to him and threw around her arms, kissing him deep,
Tears rolled down her pale cheeks and her hands trembling,
She said,"You must go away,
Away to far,far land of bijou's,
For I'm the reason to inflict this curse upon you,
I dared to travel into the forbidden area,to you.
The King,my father needs a Prince and not Pauper!
You must go away before he crushes out my soul,
I cannot stand losing you in whole.
Ride away! I believe you will find there someone,
Who will truly be meant for you,
Earth and Heaven will come together to bless you"
The Moon fell gloom and the stars hide under the clouds,
the shores seem moaning to this lovebird's departure,
She held her lamp high to get one last look of him,
and then she turned facing the giant walls of the towers,
Her heart sank, and she cried for her lost love,
"Boatman! row your boat away, for I have already bid my last Goodbye!"
Note: Just found my old diaries from the old junk, and this poem was written back then, when I was in 8th grade.I thought I could share some of the writing here.I hope you will like it.Its all based generally on fairy tales or pure imagination, back then I usually read those, books by R.L Stine our famous Goosebumps,or Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys, works by Hans Christian Andersen,Lewis Carroll,Brothers Grimm,J.M Barrie,Enid Blyton,Roald Dahl, etc, etc.I will post in more old stuff later...till then enjoy some kiddo works from me!
Thank You!
